What is the Vans BMX Pro Cup Series?

The Vans BMX Pro Cup series showcases the most talented BMX riders from across the globe and is recognized by the IBMXFF as the world’s definitive platform for BMX Park terrain competition. The 2018 Vans BMX Pro Cup series kicks off in Sydney, Australia and embarks on a four-stop global tour, culminating with the Vans BMX Pro Cup World Championships for Men and Women in Malaga, Spain.

How many events are in the Vans BMX Pro Cup Series?

The Vans BMX Pro Cup Series consists of five Regional Qualifiers and four Pro Cups.

  • Regional Qualifier riders can qualify into Pro Cup events and the World Championships
  • Vans BMX Pro Cup riders earn points toward year-end rankings and the World Championship title.

Who can ride in a Vans BMX Pro Cup?

  • qualified Tour Pros, invited riders and wildcards
  • riders who qualify through Regional Qualifiers

How do riders qualify as a Tour Pro? 

The top 10 riders from the 2017 Vans BMX Pro Cup point standings are qualified for the 2018 Vans BMX Pro Cup series and World Championships as Tour Pros. The number of Tour Pros expands during the series. Each additional Tour Pro qualifies for the remainder of the series and World Championships.

Tour Pros:

  • Top 10 from 2017 year-end standings are qualified for the 2018 series 
  • Top 3 previously unqualified riders from each 2018 Regional Qualifier
  • Top 5 previously unqualified riders from each 2018 Vans BMX Pro Cup

Regional Qualifiers

Regional Qualifiers are open to men and women, 16 and over. Riders must register online and receive a confirmation email prior to each event. Register at vansbmxprocup.com or mccoyproevents.com
